Consortio, in collaboration with a leading global provider of 360-degree steerable propulsion systems for ships, is actively seeking a dedicated and dynamic Mechanical Field Engineer to enhance our team in Rotterdam. With operational bases in Rotterdam, England, and Singapore, our client serves a diverse customer base located worldwide.
As a Mechanical Field Engineer, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Assemble propulsion systems, gearboxes, and install hydraulic systems at the production site in Rotterdam.
- Conduct and/or assist in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
- Undertake commissioning activities for our propulsion systems on a global scale.
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Completed studies in Mechanical Engineering at VMBO or MBO level.
- Proficient knowledge in mechanical engineering and hydraulics, preferably with a maritime background.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the mechanical (maritime) field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, hydraulic diagrams, and electrical diagrams.
- Mastery of the English language.
- Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally.
- Strong communication skills.Flexibility, goal-oriented mindset, and a team player.
