Consortio is thrilled to announce a unique opportunity for a Junior Naval Architect to join our dynamic team in partnership with a globally renowned ship and yacht building company based in the Netherlands. Specializing in crafting the world's most exclusive super yachts, this company is at the forefront of design, engineering, and research and development in the marine industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Calculations and (2D/3D) Drawings:

  • Conduct precise calculations for weight, stability, resistance, and propulsion.
  • Develop detailed hull line plans, including fittings, axle line, and tank layout.
  • Address aspects of comfort, maneuvering, noise, and vibration in the design.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations such as loadline, fire plans, and watertight integrity.

Advice and Support:

  • Verify information accuracy and conduct critical analyses of design feasibility.
  • Tackle complex problems with insightful analysis and provide expert advice.
  • Support and advise Naval Architects on design integrity in line with preconditions.
  • Maintain open communication for information exchange, coordination, and design consultation.
  • Stay updated on evolving norms, standards, and procedures to optimize skills.


  • Strong communication skills for effective information gathering and clear message conveyance.
  • Analytical prowess with the ability to propose and implement innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and proactive approach to work.
  • Familiarity with navigating complex relationships between site, customers, designers, and internal engineering colleagues.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile when project demands arise.
