My Client is a renowned provider of project logistics services specializing in heavy cargo transport and lifting, both on land and at sea. Requirments: 
 

Pro-active, entrepreneurial and service-minded, you are a natural planner with a flexible, hands-on attitude. Tight schedules and deadlines don’t phase you. Other knowledge and skills you bring to my client would include:

 

  • A degree in naval architecture, higher vocational education in (mechanical) engineering, or equivalent;
     
  • At least 3-5 year’s relevant experience, preferably in marine engineering;
     
  • Experience with the rules and regulations of working on land and at sea;
     
  • Technical knowledge of materials, lifting/transport calculations, stability/motion analysis and structural calculations;
     
  • Construction (AutoCAD) drawing skills;
     
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (both verbally and in writing);
     
  • Willingness to travel abroad (occasionally).

 

Responsibilities: 

 

As a Naval/Marine engineer, you’ll be responsible for the technical execution of my client's projects. You’ll translate their clients’ wishes into efficient solutions that are delivered safely, securely and on time. 

 

  • Responsible for all the engineering related aspects of projects, executes, monitors, and co-ordinates the work with departments, subcontractors, and clients on engineering issues;
     
  • Prepare documents for execution of projects (e.g., (transport) manuals, calculations, task risk analysis, drawings and assist with client and MWS interface;
     
  • Preparation of materials and equipment specifications;
     
  • Ensure compliance with engineering, quality, and safety standards;
     
  • Comply with our Code of Conduct and underlaying company policies, QHSSE Standards (Policies, Procedures, and Instructions);
     
  • Working towards achievement of the Company’s environment, health, and safety goals.
