An established company within the maritime industry is seeking an experienced Hull Detail Designer to join its engineering and design team in the Netherlands. The company specialises in marine engineering and vessel design, delivering technical solutions across a range of shipbuilding projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed 3D hull designs and structural models for marine vessels, supporting projects from the initial design stages through to production.
Working closely with naval architects, structural engineers and production teams, the Hull Detail Designer will translate engineering concepts into accurate 3D models and detailed construction drawings. The role requires extensive hands-on experience with hull modelling and specialist marine design software, particularly Cadmatic.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in shipbuilding, marine design or naval architecture.
- Extensive hands-on experience in 3D hull design and structural modelling.
- Strong practical knowledge of Cadmatic marine design software.
- Experience developing detailed hull structures, including frames, bulkheads, stiffeners and associated structural components.
- Ability to produce accurate 3D models and 2D technical and production drawings.
- Strong understanding of ship construction methods, structural detailing and fabrication requirements.
- Experience working closely with naval architects, engineers and shipyard production teams.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate design requirements into practical construction models.
- A structured and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage technical deliverables and project deadlines.
- Currently based in the Netherlands or willing to relocate and the right to work in Europe without sponsorship.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hull Detail Designer to join an established maritime engineering environment and contribute to technically challenging vessel design and construction projects.
