Our client is a highly regarded and long-established maritime company, known for its excellence in fleet management, safety practices, and regulatory compliance. In support of their ongoing growth, they are seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to join their team in the Netherlands. In this essential role, you will take charge of the technical management and upkeep of the company’s barge fleet. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the fleet remains compliant with all relevant regulations, overseeing maintenance planning, and ensuring the vessels are always in optimal condition. You will also be responsible for diagnosing technical issues, coordinating repairs, and managing the procurement of necessary parts and services. Furthermore, you will ensure that all maintenance activities are well-documented and support the crew with technical training to guarantee the safe operation of the barges.
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Have at least 5 years’ experience in a technical superintendent role or similar position within the maritime sector.
- Extensive experience in the technical management and maintenance of barges or similar vessels.
- Strong understanding of maritime safety, maintenance management, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Fluency in Dutch is a must.
