Consortio is proud to partner with a prestigious and globally respected Shipmanagement company to recruit a talented and experienced Technical Superintendent. This is a unique opportunity to join a world-class organization that is committed to excellence in maritime operations. With a fleet of high-performing tugboats, this company is dedicated to delivering top-tier services, and they are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to ensure the continued technical efficiency of their vessels. If you have strong technical knowledge and a background in maritime operations, this could be the perfect role for you.

As a Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical condition of a select number of tugboats, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Acting as the primary point of contact for the (H)WTKs on board, you will provide technical guidance and hands-on support for necessary repairs, both remotely and on-site. Your role will involve planning and executing dockings, overseeing repairs, and managing maintenance schedules to maintain high operational standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for budgeting, technical documentation, and advising on technical enhancements while collaborating closely with the Technical Manager, Technical Buyer, and onboard crew.

Key Requirements:

  • MBO+ level qualification with a background in mechanical engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer, Chief Engineer, or in ship repairs, ideally within towing or merchant shipping.
  • Proficiency in modern electronics, control systems, and computers; knowledge of after-treatment and hybrid systems is an advantage.
  • Experience in executing repairs and dockings in line with class, flag state, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a hands-on mentality, and the ability to work flexibly, including travel and work outside office hours.

This role offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-growing organization that values professional development and innovation. If you are ready to take the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you!
