A global ship management company with a strong reputation for safety, reliability, and technical excellence is seeking a Technical Superintendent to strengthen its technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical performance, maintenance, and overall condition of your assigned vessels. Acting as the key point of contact for shipboard teams, you will provide technical guidance, monitor operational performance, and ensure all class, flag, and company requirements are consistently met. You will coordinate inspections, dry-dockings, and repairs, while managing budgets and supporting crew in maintaining safe and efficient operations. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, cost control, and technical reliability across the fleet.
The requirements for this role are:
- Minimum two years’ experience as Chief Engineer on tankers
- Minimum 1 year of shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent, Marine Superintendent, or in a similar role
- Solid understanding of PMS systems, class and flag compliance, and dry-dock procedures
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- Fluent English communication skills and ability to work in an international team environment
