The Technical Superintendent position is central to ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient operation of assigned tanker vessels. Acting as the link between ship and shore, you will oversee vessel performance, maintenance and repairs while ensuring that all ships under your responsibility meet company and international regulatory requirements. You will support fleet operations, dry dockings, certification, technical reporting and budget control, while promoting a culture of safety, environmental awareness and continuous improvement. This role demands a solutions-driven mindset, strong technical insight and the ability to maintain close collaboration with crew, owners and internal departments. Your decisions will directly impact operational efficiency, commercial success and the long-term reliability of the fleet, making this a key appointment for the continued growth of our partner.

 

Requirements:

  • Marine degree with a minimum three years’ experience, OR Chief Engineer license with at least two years’ service as CE, OR prior experience as a Technical Superintendent.
  • Strong leadership, communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Right to live & work in Germany
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Deep knowledge of the marine industry, rules, regulations and technical operations relating to tanker vessels.
  • Experience with purchasing, budget control, maintenance planning and overseeing dry dockings.
