Consortio is pleased to be working with a well-established and highly regarded ship management company operating a growing fleet of chemical tankers. Known for its strong technical standards, long-term client relationships, and pragmatic management approach, the company continues to expand its fleet and shore organisation. As part of this growth, they are now looking to bring on two Technical Superintendents to their Netherlands based team.

The Technical Superintendent will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient technical operation of assigned vessels. The role focuses on delivering consistent operational performance through effective maintenance planning, repair management, and close technical support to vessel teams. Working alongside experienced colleagues across the technical and marine functions, the position offers genuine responsibility, direct influence over vessel performance, and the opportunity to grow within a stable and expanding ship management environment.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ sailing experience as Chief Engineer
  • Experience on Chemical/Oil Tankers as a Chief Engineer
  • Previous shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent or similar
  • Right to live and work in the EU
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across ship and shore teams

The role is predominantly office-based in the Netherlands with regular travel as required, and candidates must live within commutable distance of the Amsterdam / Rotterdam area. The position offers a competitive salary alongside the opportunity to join a respected ship manager at an exciting stage of growth. This is a strong long-term career move for an experienced Chief Engineer looking to further establish themselves ashore. Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV.
