Our client is a well-established organisation within the maritime industry, operating across an international and multicultural environment. They are seeking an experienced Deputy Crewing Manager to join their team and play a key role in supporting the effective management of their Crewing Department. With a strong reputation for operational excellence and high industry standards, our client provides a professional environment where employees can develop their expertise and contribute to continued success. The company is committed to maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and the ongoing development of its people.

This position will work closely with the Crew Manager, acting as their deputy when required and supporting both the strategic and operational functions of the department. The successful candidate will oversee crewing activities including recruitment, crew planning, development, welfare, training coordination, and daily crew operations. You will also provide leadership and guidance to the HR Officer and Crew Officer teams, ensuring efficient communication between vessels, agents, and internal stakeholders while maintaining strong operational standards.

The requirements for this role are:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Senior Crewing Officer, Crewing Superintendent, Assistant Crewing Manager, or Crewing Manager.

  • Experience managing crewing operations for Tankers or Gas vessels; candidates from other deep-sea vessel segments will be considered but must have knowledge of tanker operations.

  • Strong understanding of crew operations, maritime regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Proven experience managing crew planning, crew changes, and operational crewing matters.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within an international and multicultural environment.

  • Fluency in English.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected maritime organisation offering a competitive salary package, a professional working environment, and opportunities for long-term career progression. The successful candidate will have the chance to further develop their expertise while working alongside experienced industry professionals.
