Our client is a well-established international shipping company operating a modern fleet of gas carriers supporting global energy and petrochemical supply chains. With operations spanning multiple regions and a diverse workforce of shore-based staff and seafarers, the organisation is known for maintaining high technical standards, strong safety performance, and a collaborative working culture across its global offices and vessels.
Our client is seeking a Technical Superintendent to oversee the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of 4–5 vessels within their fleet. In this office-based role, you will manage the technical, operational, and financial performance of your assigned vessels, coordinating logistics, maintenance, inspections, and dry dock activities. You will work closely with captains, crews, and internal departments while also liaising with suppliers, contractors, and classification societies. The role includes approximately 60–80 days of international travel annually for vessel visits and inspections.
The requirements for this role are:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
- Sailing experience as a Chief Engineer on LPG Vessels
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations including IMO frameworks such as ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL and STCW
- Confident communication skills in English
- Experience working in multicultural environments and engaging with stakeholders at all levels
- Willingness to travel internationally for vessel visits and inspections
