Our client is a ship owner and 3rd party ship management company that is utilizing a fleet of dry cargo vessels engaged in worldwide trade.  Although the dry market has provided huge challenges over the last 5 years; through perseverance and adopting a new approach to ship management they have still maintained a strong profit and look likely to continue this trend.  They are a young, dynamic and forward thinking organisation that puts strong emphasis on its business leaders to develop within the company encouraging them to leave a legacy that can stand the test of time.
 

This role is for a Technical Superintendent to join their team and help oversee the day to day management of 3/4 ships through guiding and coaching your Engineers.  You will become part of a dedicated positive team overseeing your tankers by ensuring the crew are performing their jobs correctly and keeping up with all work required by the PMS system. You will coach and develop engineers on board your ships to be the best they can be in their roles and provide day to day technical support to your ships. You will manage vessel budgets and operating expenditure as well as dealing with the planning and implementation of dry dockings as required.
 

Successful candidate’s must
 

  • Have sailed as a Chief Engineer.
     
  • Have at least 2 years Technical Superintendent experience.
  •  
  • Be comfortable with planning and adhering to fiscal budgets.
     
  • Be a clear communicator.
