Consortio is working with an international ship owner. They operate a sizeable fleet of oil tankers. A portion of their fleet are operated in pools alongside other well-established partners in the sector. You can expect a highly professional working environment where nothing less than maximum performance is acceptable. This has laid the platform for our client to achieve significant fleet growth and bring in new clientele.
 

This role is for a Vessel Operator to manage 6 - 8 oil tankers. You will communicate closely with the Master’s on board these vessels to ensure charter party instructions are being adhered too. Additionally, you will be responsible for arranging port visits and negotiating competitive rates. Another key element of this role will be supporting efficient tank cleaning processes allowing voyages to stay on a tight timetable. As some of the vessels of you will be operating in a pool you will need to maintain and build good relations with company partners.

 

To be considered for this role you need to meet the following criteria;
 

  • 3+ year’s operating oil tankers.
     
  • Strong working knowledge of oil tankers.
     
  • Seafaring experience would be advantageous.
     
  • Must speak fluent English.
     
  • Existing UK residency rights.
