Consortio has partnered with a world-leading ship management company to recruit a seasoned Vetting Manager to join their Limassol office. Responsible for leading a team of Superintendents, this role ensures the highest vetting standards are met across a fleet of tankers, gas carriers and dry cargo.
Reporting directly to the Marine Manager, the Vetting Manager will take ownership of monitoring inspection performance across the fleet, identifying trends and implementing improvements. This includes managing vetting responses, questionnaires, and SIRE submissions, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of customer requirements—particularly those of the oil majors. You will lead and coordinate the Vetting Team’s activities, support the Marine Superintendents in their duties, and ensure compliance with the company’s management system. The role also contributes to procedural development, drives continual improvement, and requires strong internal and external relationship management across the wider group and with key stakeholders.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
- At least 5 years of shore-based vetting experience in a senior role
- Sea-going experience to at least Chief Mate rank on tankers
- Hands-on experience with SIRE inspections
- Strong knowledge of CDI SIR and RightShip standards
- Fluent or native English with excellent communication skills
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage a team
- Willingness to relocate to Cyprus and work full-time from the office
This is an office-based role in Limassol with minimal travel. While core working hours apply, the position requires flexibility to accommodate global communication. Relocation support and visa sponsorship are available for the right candidate and internal progression opportunities are not limited. If you're ready to lead vetting excellence for a globally respected company, apply today with your CV.
