As part of their continued growth strategy, our client is seeking an experienced Trader for their new trading team in Athens, with a primary focus on the European bunker markets. Backed by strong financial support, our client offers one of the most competitive compensation packages in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and gain market share in Greece, focusing on back-to-back trades in the UAE and European shipping markets.
- Bring an established and transferable book of end-user clients to the organization, while actively pursuing new bunker enquiries in these markets.
- Monitor bunker market trends, pricing fluctuations, and developments, providing strategic insights for market penetration and growth.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with bunker trading activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards specific to the region.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of back-to-back bunker trading experience
- Team player and ability to motivate and work within a diverse team.
- A transferable book of business within the European shipping markets.
- A strong network of connections in the bunker fuels industry, covering suppliers and customers.
- This position is based in Athens, Greece.
