Consortio have partnered with an exciting and highly specialised marine company operating within the high-performance yacht and RIB sector. The company has developed a strong reputation for producing premium, high-performance vessels, with the complete build process managed in-house from composite construction through to finishing, assembly and sea trials. With continued growth and an expanding range of vessels, they are now looking to strengthen their production team, and you could be their perfect next hire.

They are looking to bring on an experienced Naval Architect who is seeking a hands-on position rather than a traditional design-office role. Working closely with the Senior Naval Architect and Production Director, you will oversee day-to-day production, work alongside composite, paint and assembly teams, monitor quality and technical standards and ensure projects remain on schedule. You will also be involved in technical and production drawings, lamination schedules, composite structures, CE/RCD documentation and resolving technical challenges directly within the production environment.

To be eligible for this role you need to:

  • Hold a degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
  • Have experience within boatbuilding, composite production or a related marine environment.
  • Have a strong understanding of GRP construction, including fabrics, resins, cores, hand lay-up and vacuum infusion.
  • Be confident using 2D/3D CAD for technical and structural drawings.
  • Have a practical and proactive approach to working within production.
  • Be fluent in English and Greek.
  • Be able to travel.
  • Experience with CE/RCD certification, ISO 12215/12217, lamination, vacuum infusion or small craft stability and structural calculations would be highly advantageous.

This is a rare opportunity to join a specialist company at an exciting stage of its growth, where the successful candidate will have strong influence and control over both production and technical development. They are particularly open to someone who can bring new ideas, software, design methods or processes to improve the way they work. Interviews are available immediately and an immediate start can be accommodated for the right person, making this an excellent opportunity for a Naval Architect looking to make a visible impact within a growing high-performance elusive marine business.
