With a strong presence across the maritime sector and a commitment to safe, efficient and commercially focused vessel operations, the organisation offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced maritime professional to join a structured and forward-thinking technical team.
As Technical Superintendent, you will take responsibility for the safe, reliable and economical operation of an assigned fleet of vessels. Working closely with vessel crews, senior management, owners and external contractors, you will oversee technical performance, maintenance, repairs, dry dockings, certification and budgets. The role is central to ensuring vessels remain compliant, operationally efficient and maintained to the highest standards, while also supporting continuous improvement and a strong onboard safety culture.
Requirements
- Hold a Marine Engineering or related university degree with at least three years' experience within the maritime industry, or hold a Chief Engineer's licence with a minimum of two years' sea service as Chief Engineer, or have at least two years' experience as a Technical Superintendent.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organisational and teamworking skills, with the confidence to manage multiple stakeholders and technical priorities.
- Possess excellent English language skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with vessel crews, owners, contractors and internal departments.
- Have strong knowledge of the marine industry, applicable international regulations, classification requirements and technical standards, together with a solid understanding of vessel machinery and systems.
- Demonstrate experience with purchasing, financial management and budgetary cost control, alongside the ability to plan repairs, dry dockings and maintenance effectively.
