In this pivotal role as Assistant Technical Superintendent, you will play a key part in supporting the technical and operational management of assigned vessels. The position is crucial in ensuring the fleet remains safe, compliant, and efficiently operated in line with international standards. Working closely under the supervision of the Technical Fleet Manager, you will assist in implementing and maintaining the company’s management systems, support repair and dry-docking activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of fleet performance. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious marine professional eager to gain valuable shore-based experience and contribute to the success of one of the industry’s leading shipmanagement teams.
Key Requirements:
- A marine degree from a recognised university, marine academy, or college — or equivalent experience within the shipping industry.
- Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and self-motivation, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent command of the English language, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across all levels.
- Solid understanding of the marine industry, including knowledge of applicable international Rules, Regulations, and vessel management standards.
- Technical proficiency in vessel operations, with a sound understanding of purchasing procedures, budget control, and cost management.
