Consortio is delighted to be partnering with a prestigious and globally recognised ship management company operating a modern tanker fleet. With a reputation built on technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and high safety standards, our client provides first-class management services to shipowners worldwide. As part of their continued fleet expansion and commitment to operational excellence, they are now seeking to appoint an experienced Technical Superintendent (Tankers) to join their shore-based technical team.
This is a pivotal role responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of allocated tanker vessels. Acting as the primary technical link between ship and shore, the Technical Superintendent will oversee vessel performance, ensure compliance with international regulations, and manage maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking projects. You will be responsible for budget control, certification, technical reporting to owners, and ensuring vessels are appropriately manned and fully compliant at all times. The position demands strong leadership and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work closely with onboard management teams to drive safety culture, environmental awareness, and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven technical professional looking to join a forward-thinking organisation where high standards and long-term client relationships are central to success.
Key Requirements:
- Chief Engineer (unlimited) with a minimum of two years’ sea service in rank, or a marine degree with at least three years’ relevant industry experience, or prior experience as a Technical Superintendent.
- Strong technical knowledge of tanker operations, maintenance planning, dry-docking, and marine engineering systems.
- Good understanding of international maritime regulations, class requirements, and statutory compliance.
- Proven experience in budget management, purchasing, and cost control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with strong written and spoken English.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a tanker fleet portfolio within a highly respected ship management environment.
