Consortio is proud to be partnering with a prestigious global ship management organisation renowned for delivering integrated maritime solutions across a diverse international fleet. With a long-standing reputation for safety, compliance, operational excellence, and client-focused service delivery, our client supports shipowners worldwide with technical management, crewing, HSSEQ, procurement, and digital solutions. As part of their continued growth strategy and expanding international presence, they are now seeking to appoint an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to strengthen their global footprint.

This is a pivotal commercial role within the organisation, reporting directly to senior leadership and playing a key part in shaping future growth. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new ship management opportunities, developing strategic relationships with shipowners and operators, and positioning the company as a trusted long-term partner. Working closely with technical, crewing, and operational teams, you will ensure that tailored, competitive solutions are presented to clients, supporting both new business acquisition and client retention. This role requires strong market awareness, strategic thinking, and the credibility to engage at senior levels within the maritime sector. It offers significant international exposure and the opportunity to directly influence the commercial success of a highly respected ship management business.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in maritime business development, ship management, or commercial shipping, with a proven track record of winning and developing strategic accounts.
  • Strong understanding of ship management services, including technical management, crewing, HSSEQ, procurement, and value-added digital solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads, manage tender processes, negotiate contracts, and successfully close high-value commercial agreements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships at senior executive level.
  • Commercially astute, target-driven, and willing to travel internationally to represent the organisation at client meetings and industry events.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious maritime professional seeking to join a forward-thinking organisation where commercial performance and relationship management are central to continued global growth.
