Consortio is proud to be working in partnership with an internationally recognised engineering and consultancy organisation delivering complex maritime and infrastructure projects worldwide. Known for technical excellence and innovation, the organisation provides integrated engineering, design, and advisory services to a diverse global client base. As part of continued UK growth, they are now seeking a Business Development Manager within their Maritime team to support expansion across key markets.

The Business Development Manager will promote maritime consultancy services across the UK while identifying and converting new business opportunities. Working closely with regional teams and senior leadership, the successful candidate will lead market reviews, strengthen key client relationships, and support tender and bid activities. The role requires a commercially focused professional with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to drive growth within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Proven business development experience within maritime, civil engineering, or infrastructure consultancy
  • Demonstrated success securing and developing new business opportunities
  • Experience supporting marketing, tendering, bid management, and account development
  • Strong commercial awareness and client-facing capability
  • Established network within maritime or infrastructure sectors
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment

Desirable experience includes:

  • Exposure to port development or marine infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of marine consenting processes
  • Experience supporting digital or innovation-led services
  • Relevant professional accreditation (MICE, MIET, MIMechE, MBA or equivalent
