Due to a recent expansion in their commercial division, they are on the lookout for a Dry Cargo Chartering Officer In this role you will be responsible for fixing cargoes for a max of ten vessels that will range from handy to ultramax size. You will be given full flexibility and responsibility to source new clients and build out your own chartering desk within a successful ship management company. Furthermore, you will use your expertise and innovative to successfully navigate a dynamic dry cargo market, ensuring vessels operate efficiently and profitably. In addition to this you will need to work collaboratively with all members of the commercial team to ensure a perfect level of service.
To be considered for this role you need to meet the following requirements:
- Have 2+ years’ experience in Dry Cargo Chartering.
- Preferably have experience fixing cargoes on handy and ultramax vessels.
- Have a strong understanding of the dry cargo market.
- Have excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Be fluent in English – both written and verbal.
