Claims Manager.

Consortio is partnered with a globally renowned P&I insurance company, boasting a team of over 200 professionals worldwide. Headquartered in London, with offices spanning the globe, we are seeking a dynamic individual to join our esteemed team as a Claims Manager. As the leader of the claims team under the Syndicate Manager, you will oversee the performance of claims handling, staff development, management, and motivation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Allocate, monitor, and supervise claims work to ensure adherence to service levels, company procedures, objectives, and ethos.
• Process major claims following company operating procedures.Provide updates to the Claims Director for Cyprus and the Syndicate Head of Claims regarding significant developments and team-related matters like training needs and motivation.
• Lead the claims team in Cyprus and provide guidance to claims handlers as necessary.
• Facilitate effective communication of claims handling issues within the team.
• Maintain accurate claims files, including filing, claims reserves, and overall claims management.
• Conduct annual appraisals of Claims Syndicate Executives, Assistants, and Associates.
• Be available to handle Member issues outside of office hours.

Person Specification:

• Experience in handling complex P&I and FD&D claims, preferably from a P&I club, insurer, law firm, or shipowner.
• Demonstrated management experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English. Greek is also an advantage.
