Consortio is excited to be partnering with one of the shipping industry’s most recognized and respected brands. With the expansion of our client’s bulker fleet operations, we are now targeting a motivated and experienced Commercial Manager  to join the team and lead the commercial operations of their 10 Bulk Carriers out of Amsterdam.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Commercial Manager of Bulk will develop an in-house commercial operation for the Group’s bulkers fleet. Key responsibilities include overseeing commercial analysis, strategic planning, and execution of the bulk division's objectives. This role involves negotiating and fixing time charter parties and voyage charters, selling physical freight, vessel chartering in/out, and operating. You will also plan fleet development, form and execute commercial strategies, and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, agents, and owners. Additionally, you will monitor voyage performance, collaborate with the Operations Department, and ensure timely internal reporting. Compliance with developing regulations and leading a top-class team are also crucial aspects of the role.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Industrial Engineering. An MBA is an advantage.
  • At least 4 years of international dry cargo chartering/trading experience.
  • Experience in Handy and Supermax trades is preferred.
  • Understanding of cargo demand and supply trends and dry cargo chartering practices.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers, brokers, and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Ideally right to work in the EU.

Our client offers a competitive salary, comprehensive relocation package, and excellent benefits. You will be joining a company with extensive ties across the maritime and shipping industry, known for its commitment to internal progression and low staff turnover. This role provides an exceptional opportunity for career growth and development within a highly respected organization.
