The Training Manager will support and oversee all training activities across the fleet and shore organisation. The role is responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s training framework, ensuring alignment with SMS standards, regulatory requirements and vetting expectations. The Training Manager will assess training needs, plan and update comprehensive training programmes, conduct vessel visits, deliver onboard and office-based instruction, evaluate training effectiveness and work closely with department heads to ensure continuous improvement. Responsibilities also include monitoring crew performance, preparing training materials, maintaining accurate records, managing training resources and supporting recruitment and promotion processes for senior officers.
 

The requirements for this role are:
 

  • Chief Mate STCW Reg. II/2 Unlimited or Chief Engineer STCW III/2
     
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Captain, Chief Engineer or Chief Officer on chemical tankers
     
  • At least 3 years of shore-based experience as Training Manager or Marine Superintendent
     
  • Strong commitment to managing workload and travel requirements
     
  • High level of English proficiency
