Commercial Operator

Our client is a well-established global shipping business with a strong reputation in the LNG, LPG and broader gas carrier market. With continued investment, fleet growth and a clear focus on commercial expansion, they are looking to strengthen their Glasgow team with the appointment of a Commercial Operator.
 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Operator to join a high-performing commercial operations team based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will support day-to-day vessel operations, act as a key point of contact for charterers and external stakeholders, monitor charter party performance, manage voyage instructions and claims, and help ensure smooth and commercially effective voyage execution. This role would suit someone with strong commercial shipping knowledge, excellent communication skills and, ideally, experience of LNG vessel operations.
 

The requirements for this role are:
 

• Knowledge of LNG vessel operations, ideally including sailing time served onboard LNG vessels
   

• Immediate right to live and work in the United Kingdom
   
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
   
• Strong analytical, problem solving, time management and decision-making skills
   
• Ability to respond positively and effectively to customers
