Consortio is proud to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded ship management organisation based in Glasgow, known for delivering safe, efficient, and compliant operations across a global tanker fleet. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking to appoint an experienced HSEQ / Marine Superintendent to join their shoreside team in a primarily office-based role, with an expectation of international travel for vessel inspections, audits, and repair periods.
This is a key position within a high-performing technical team, responsible for the safety, quality, and environmental performance of assigned vessels. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with international regulations, company standards, and Safety Management Systems, while also monitoring legislative developments, conducting audits and inspections, managing risk assessments and near miss reporting, and driving continuous improvement across marine operations.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
- Previous experience working as an HSEQ or Marine Superintendent within the tanker sector (oil or chemical)
- Seagoing background as a Chief Officer or Master on tanker vessels
- Strong working knowledge of international maritime regulations, Class requirements, and ISM/ISPS frameworks
- Experience conducting vessel inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Proven ability to manage safety systems, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Willingness and ability to travel globally as required
- Must be based within a reasonable commuting distance of Glasgow
- Full and unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected organisation offering long-term career stability, exposure to a modern tanker fleet, and the chance to play a pivotal role in driving safety and operational excellence. If you are an experienced HSEQ professional looking to take the next step in your shore-based career, please submit your CV for consideration.
