Our client is an established leader in maritime technical training, delivering specialist programmes that support safety, compliance, and operational excellence across the cruise industry. Working with shipboard and shore-based professionals, they are committed to developing technical competence in hazardous area operations to the highest international standards.
 

This opportunity is for an experienced CompEx Instructor to join our client’s technical training department on a full-time basis. The role centres on delivering CompEx and hazardous area training to cruise ship technical officers, combining strong subject matter expertise with effective instructional delivery. You will lead industry-compliant training modules, conduct assessments, support course development, and actively promote a strong corporate safety culture, while continuing to develop your own technical specialism.
 

The requirements for this role are:

A current and valid CompEx certification relevant to the modules delivered or assessed.

A minimum of 5 years’ verifiable hazardous area work experience, or the ability to demonstrate equivalent technical expertise.

At least 5 years’ leadership experience within the maritime industry.

Cruise ship experience is preffered but not essential.

Fluency in written and spoken English.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural environments
