The successful candidate will take responsibility for the inspection, servicing, and repair of high-performance diesel engines used across marine and industrial applications. The position requires strong hands-on capability combined with sound engineering knowledge, supporting both scheduled maintenance and complex breakdown investigations, while ensuring work is completed to the highest technical and safety standards.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience as a diesel mechanic, working on large-scale diesel engines and propulsion systems.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with engine overhauls, fault finding, diagnostics, and commissioning.
  • Strong understanding of diesel fuel systems, lubrication systems, cooling systems, and engine control technologies.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and engineering documentation.
  • Proven experience working in safety-critical environments with strict quality and compliance requirements.
  • Good command of spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical teams.

This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-value diesel engineering projects within a professional and technically advanced organisation.
