As an Electrical Instructor, your responsibilities encompass a dynamic array of tasks crucial to the delivery of top-tier training to ship-board technical staff. Your role is multifaceted, involving the delivery of courses according to established course delivery processes, development of new courses and procedures for onboard implementation, and meticulous upkeep with the latest industry practices and technological advancements. Collaboration with colleagues ensures seamless course preparation, while your astute follow-up with both high-performing and struggling participants ensures optimal learning outcomes. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in equipment restoration and addressing deficiencies, ensuring a comprehensive and effective training environment.
To be successful you should have the following:
- Prior experience as a 1st Engineer or similar.
- Higher-ranking experience in roles such as Senior Engineer, Superintendent, or as a Marine Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) is highly valued.
- Previous work on cruise ships is preferred.
- Teaching or instructing experience would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in computers, networks, MS Office365, fluent English, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and in multicultural teams are essential.
