Consortio is proud to be partnering with a rapidly expanding ship management company in Greece as they continue to strengthen their technical operations team. With a modern and diverse fleet under management and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality maritime services, our partner is investing in experienced technical professionals who can support the continued reliability, efficiency, and compliance of their vessels. As part of this growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join their shore-based technical management team.
This is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the electrical, electronic, automation, navigation, and communication systems across an assigned fleet. Acting as the primary electrical expert within the technical department, the successful candidate will provide support to vessels, coordinate repairs and upgrades, monitor equipment performance, and ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently. The Electrical Superintendent will work closely with vessel crews, equipment manufacturers, service providers, and internal stakeholders to minimise downtime, improve reliability, and maintain compliance with international maritime regulations. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced vessel technologies while contributing directly to fleet performance and operational excellence.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience with a minimum of 4–5 years sailing as an Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) on merchant vessels, combined with shore-based experience as an Electrical Superintendent within ship management.
- Strong technical knowledge of marine electrical power generation and distribution systems, automation and PLC systems, engine monitoring equipment, navigation systems, communication equipment, and vessel control systems.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and automation-related issues, conduct root cause investigations, and manage major repairs, retrofits, and dry-dock projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of Class, Flag State, IMO, SOLAS, and MARPOL requirements, with experience supporting audits, inspections, and vessel surveys.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively within an international maritime environment.
This opportunity offers a competitive salary package, long-term career progression, and the chance to join a growing organisation with an ambitious vision for the future of ship management.
