Our client is a hugely high profile and long standing marine specialist with a group turnover in the hundreds of millions and working with all sectors of the industry, often on bespoke high S/Y profile projects as well as partnering with industry names like Jeanneau, Beneteau, Sunseeker, Oyster Spirit Yachts etc.
As the pivotal member of the team your role will be to lead and develop key customer relationships, delivering seamless sales experience and driving growth in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
With a full European remit this role focuses on managing major accounts, developing new business, ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction and profitability and as such we are looking for an experienced Marine or associated industry candidate.
Work closely with the Sales Director to develop and execute detailed sales strategies across assigned regions and customer segments.
Manage all aspects of pricing, quotations, and margin control to ensure commercial objectives are met
Conduct regular business reviews with key customers to monitor satisfaction, performance, and future opportunities.
Develop a strong understanding of the marine industry, competitor landscape, and product range.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as their main point of contact.
Coordinate with internal teams; design, production, logistics, and finance to ensure projects run smoothly from order through to delivery and customer sign-off.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support growth targets.
Prepare accurate market data and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
Ensure clear and professional communication internally and externally, both written and verbal.
Support technical sales meetings in person and via video calls.Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and client visits, including occasional international travel as required.
Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and team-oriented mindset at all times.
Skills and Experience:-
Proven experience in B2B or OEM sales, ideally within the marine, automotive, or engineering sectors.
Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing strategy, margin management, and forecasting.
Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Computer literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally when the job requires
French or German speaking is preferable.
