Our client is a hugely high-profile and long-standing marine specialist with a group turnover in the hundreds of millions and working with all sectors of the industry. Often on bespoke high S/Y profile projects as well as partnering with industry names like Jeanneau, Beneteau Sunseeker, Oyster Spirit Yachts etc.
This role ideally would suit someone with Distribution network or managing a retail network experience and has line management of three reports, as such we are looking for an experienced senior sales manager someone that is happy to take on departmental responsibility for defining the brand, product and sales strategy in this distribution market space.
Woking within a mature market and as the pivotal member of the team your role will be to lead and develop key customer relationships, delivering seamless sales experience and driving growth in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities:-
· Manage all aspects of pricing, quotations, and margin control to ensure commercial objectives are met.
· Conduct regular business reviews with key distributors to monitor satisfaction, performance, and strategic focus.
· Guide the aftermarket sales team to achieve their goals.
· Develop a strong understanding of the marine industry, competitor landscape, and product range.
· Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as their main point of contact.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support growth targets.
· Prepare accurate market data and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
Skills & Experience:-
Proven experience in Retail or Distribution networks, ideally within the marine, automotive, or engineering sectors.
· Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing strategy, margin management, and forecasting.
· Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills. · Experience of effectively running a team
· Computer literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Highly organised with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally when the job requires
