Our client is an absolute market leader in its domain and has a huge pipeline of project work over the next 10 years you will be working on some of THE most high profile projects within the Marine industry.

They are respected, established and ambitious headquartered in the UK with manufacturing sites across Europe and Australia/New Zealand.

As our Senior Project Planner you will be working within PM team liaising closely with a number of departments both back in the UK and also in Poland. As we enter next crucial three years of this project cycle this role does have to be base primarily in Poland with a requirement for 5-6 weeks out of 8 to be in Ustron. ( A superbly pretty market/health resort  town with approximately 16,000 surrounded by mountains and countryside and a reputation for fine local food.)

Responsibilities - Project Planner

Reporting directly to the Senior PM  and working within the Systems Delivery department, you as the Project Planner will be responsible for engaging and planning existing and new bespoke projects as such responsibilities will include: -

 

Build project schedules from scratch encompassing full project scope, milestones, timelines and resource allocation, using critical path methodologyEnsure clear responsibility and ownership for all project outcomes is

Ensure there is a clear method in place for developing, managing and baselining project schedules and manage periodic updates

Identify and emphasise critical milestones to key stakeholders to maintain project timelines

Develop and manage the project schedules and structure to allow a tailored view for the Executives, Supply Chain, Engineering and other business areas

Negotiate and mediate timelines and project inter-dependencies between key partners

Produce consolidated, high-quality view of planning horizon and forward view of 3 to 12 months

Prepare high quality status reports and dashboards for project stakeholders, which include resource allocation and KPIsReview external customer / in-country partner schedules to ensure that they are compiled using scheduling best practices

Support the Senior MO in facilitating risk and opportunity activities, governance documentation, project procurement activities and general project administration when needed



Requirements - Project Planner

Previous experience working in marine or construction / Manufacturing environment would prove highly beneficial

Strong demonstrable experience in a similar role with in-depth knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Project, essential.

Ability to understand the status of a project and link the schedule to the reality of the execution

Quickly understand the risks and opportunities in the schedule, identify and drive appropriate actions

Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders

Experience working on international projects is desirable but not essentia

lAppreciation of cultural differences in overseas territories and ability to communicate well with overseas colleagues

Desire to build a solid, secure career with a rapidly growing company

 

Nb:- The client is well used to helping and assisting with relocation and has accomdation availbe in the town for use initally. This si a superb role for someone that wants to be at the heart of the projects adn based in a superb location.
