Food and Beverage Training Officer

Consortio have partnered with an internationally recognized shipping company based in Cyprus. They have 40 years’ experience in the shipping business and are currently expanding. They offer many different services within the shipping and maritime sector and are extremely focused on offering brilliant guest satisfaction ratings. Due to the rapidly expanding team they are currently hiring a Food and Beverage Training Officer.

Qualifications:

• Previous seagoing experience in a Food & Beverage officer role, or a minimum of two years of experience in the maritime industry with a university degree.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification as a train the trainer according to the IMO model course 6.09.
• Experience in training multicultural crews.
• Demonstrated practical and theoretical training and development experience.
• Ability to work independently and proficient in computer skills to create training presentations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver targeted face-to-face training programs onboard when assigned.
• Maintain an up-to-date repository of approved training syllabi.
• Generate monthly training reports and quarterly feedback summaries.
• Conduct evaluations of training centers and courses as assigned.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to onboard crew members.
• Review task books and oversee competency management assignments.
• Ensure thorough understanding and effective implementation of the Company’s Management System.
• Contribute to the development or revision of procedures as necessary.
• Support initiatives for continuous improvement within the organization.
• Evaluate ship feedback and report findings to Head Office.
• Undertake any other special tasks as assigned.
