Consortio is proud to be partnering with one of the world’s most respected ship management companies in the search for a Managing Director to lead its operations in Greece. This newly created role represents a rare opportunity to step into a high-profile leadership position with responsibility for both overseeing the local fleet and driving commercial growth through strong industry relationships.

The successful candidate will take on overall responsibility for the management of the company’s Greek operations, including a fleet of approximately 30 vessels and a team of 30–35 staff. Reporting into this role will be the existing local Managing Director and Technical Director, making it essential that the incoming leader brings not only deep industry knowledge but also the authority and credibility to lead senior professionals. The position is heavily focused on relationship management and commercial growth, requiring a candidate with a well-established network among Greek shipowners. While a seagoing background is not essential, candidates must have a proven track record in senior roles within shipping or ship management companies and bring a strong operational, HSEQ, marine, business development or commercial foundation. This is a strategic hire and an urgent one — ideal for someone looking to make a significant impact in a top-tier organisation.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be Greek or have lived in Greece long enough to have a well-developed local network
  • Have a senior-level background in shipping, ideally within a ship management company
  • Bring experience across one or more of the following areas: commercial, operations, HSEQ, business development or marine
  • Have prior leadership experience managing large teams (30+ reports)
  • Be confident representing the company to existing and prospective clients, particularly Greek shipowners

Working conditions include a highly competitive salary, discretionary bonus, and a full suite of executive-level benefits. The company is prepared to move quickly for the right person, with a strong preference for candidates already based in Greece or highly familiar with the Greek shipping landscape.

If you're ready to take on a prestigious leadership role with one of the industry's most respected names, apply now by submitting your CV to be considered.
