Our new client is an Athens-based Ship Management company, operating one of the globe's foremost and most advanced fleets of high-specification bunkering tankers, maintaining a leading position in the maritime and shipping industry.

 

We are currently seeking a Marine Superintendent to enhance their team's capabilities. In this role, you will oversee a designated group of vessels, leveraging your expertise to ensure the seamless execution of marine activities daily. Your responsibilities will include supervising ship-to-ship operations, managing cargo operations and tank cleaning, maintaining navigational practices, conducting inspections, supporting regulatory compliance, and monitoring budget targets.

 

As a member of the Marine Department, you will report to the Head of Marine and collaborate with dedicated colleagues to acquaint yourself with the fleet. To excel in this role, you must possess a fervour for shipping, exhibit strong team spirit, and demonstrate high individual motivation.

 

Qualifications and Profile:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Marine, Vetting, or HSQE Superintendent roles within tanker shipping companies
  • At least 2 years of sea service as Master on tankers, with a preference for Afra/Suez/VLCC vessels
  • Excellent proficiency in English communication
  • Proactive mindset with a penchant for independence
  • Deep-rooted commitment to safety culture
