Consortio is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and internationally recognised marine insurance provider specialising in liability solutions for the global shipping industry. With a strong presence across key maritime hubs and a growing portfolio of international clients, the organisation has built a reputation for delivering tailored insurance solutions and maintaining long-standing relationships with brokers and shipowners. Due to continued growth within their underwriting division, they are now seeking to appoint a P&I Underwriter to join their team.

This position will play a key role in supporting the underwriting and management of marine liability risks across an international portfolio. The successful candidate will review risk submissions, assess exposures across a range of vessel types and operations, and negotiate policy terms with brokers. You will work closely with brokers, clients and internal teams while contributing to the continued development and profitability of the underwriting portfolio.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience within marine insurance, ideally within P&I or marine liability underwriting
  • Strong understanding of the shipping industry and marine insurance principles
  • Ability to analyse risk submissions and support underwriting decisions
  • Strong communication skills when working with brokers and clients
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to work both independently and within a team

This opportunity offers the chance to join a highly respected marine insurance organisation operating within the international shipping market. With continued growth planned within the underwriting team, this is an excellent opportunity for a marine insurance professional looking to further develop their career in a collaborative and internationally focused environment.
