Our client is a leading organisation within the maritime sector, recognised for delivering expert solutions across salvage, crisis response, and emergency maritime operations. With a strong presence in the global shipping market they work closely with shipowners, insurers, P&I clubs, and global partners to manage high-stakes incidents and protect commercial interests in complex and time-critical environments.

They are seeking a Salvage / Crisis Response Manager or Director to take ownership of the commercial aspects of maritime emergencies. This role will focus on leading commercial decision-making during incidents such as groundings, collisions, and vessel casualties, ensuring optimal outcomes for both clients and the business. You will negotiate salvage contracts, manage key stakeholder relationships, and act as the primary commercial interface during crises. In addition, you will support strategic planning through contingency development, risk assessments, and post-incident reviews, helping to strengthen the organisation’s overall response capability.

The requirements for this role are:

  • Proven commercial experience within maritime salvage and crisis response

  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills

  • Deep understanding of maritime contracts, insurance frameworks, and London market practices

  • Ability to assess risk and commercial impact in high-pressure situations

  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills

  • Degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Business, or a related field (preferred)

  • Extensive experience within commercial salvage operations, ideally in the London market

  • Familiarity with LOF/SCOPIC, P&I frameworks, IMO regulations, and emergency response systems

This is an excellent opportunity offering a highly competitive salary, flexible working arrangements, and the chance to play a key role in a growing and dynamic organisation with clear opportunities for long-term career progression. The role can be worked from either London, Greece or Dubai, however, the preference is for this person to be based in Dubai
