Consortio have partnered with an exciting start up company who are looking to expand their operations in Dubai. They are both a ship owner and operator and have a total fleet of seven MR and LR Tankers and have more vessels that will be coming into the organisation. Furthermore, they are comprised of forward-thinking individuals who are looking to build their company into the next big player within the shipping industry. In addition to this they have a core set of values that they will place at the forefront of their upcoming business venture.
 

Due to the nature of their start up, our client is on the lookout for a Shipping Operations Manager to join their team in Dubai. You will be responsible for overseeing the marine and commercial operations for the fleet in an aim to increase effectiveness and success. Furthermore, you will expect to attend vessels worldwide to supervise operations and monitor vessel condition and ships staff compliance with management policies and international regulations. In addition to this you will act as the middleman between owners and charterers to ensure smooth cargo operation as well as being on hand to respond to any operational matters.
 

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
 

  • Have 2 – 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity role.
     
  • Have a Masters license and sailing experience on Tankers.
     
  • Have a strong business sense and commercial approach.
     
  • Be fluent in English – both written and verbal.
