Consortio have partnered with an independent maritime consultancy firm based in The Netherlands. They have been providing expert technical advice to P&I clubs shipping companies and insurers for nearly 100 years. They are specialized in claim handling, risk analysis, damage prevention and casualty research and have built up a fantastic reputation within the maritime sector. Due to their continued success they are looking to hire a Marine Surveyor to join their team.

As an Inspector/Pre-Loading and Cargo Surveyor, you will:

  • Inspect cargo, primarily steel, both on quays and aboard ships.
  • Perform tests and assessments aboard vessels.
  • Conduct On/Off-Hire Surveys to document vessel conditions.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed reports in English.

To be eligible for this role you need:

  • A minimum of MBO-level education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with varying daily workloads.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular office hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal; Dutch proficiency is a must. 
  • A professional and communicative demeanor with a focus on quality and precision.
