Consortio is proud to be partnering with a leading global ship-management organisation renowned for its commitment to operational excellence, safety, and innovation across its tanker fleet. This collaboration reflects a shared dedication to delivering high-quality maritime talent and supporting the continued success of a company that plays a critical role in the international shipping industry. Together, we are seeking experienced professionals who are ready to contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking technical management environment.

The Technical Superintendent (Tankers) position is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and cost-effective operation of assigned vessels. Acting as the key link between shore-based management and onboard teams, the successful candidate will oversee technical performance, regulatory compliance, and maintenance planning, including dry dockings and repairs. This role is essential in driving high standards across safety, environmental responsibility, and operational efficiency, while also supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the management system. Strong leadership and technical expertise are crucial, as the position directly influences vessel performance, crew support, and overall fleet reliability.

Key Requirements:

  • Marine qualification (degree or Chief Engineer license) with relevant seagoing or shore-based technical superintendent experience within the shipping industry
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively manage and support vessel operations
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal, for clear reporting and stakeholder communication
  • In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations, industry standards, and tanker vessel operations
  • Proven experience in technical management, including budgeting, purchasing, maintenance planning, and cost control

This opportunity offers the chance to join a highly respected organisation where your expertise will directly impact fleet performance and safety standards, while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
