Consortio is working in partnership with a globally established ship management organisation operating at scale across international tanker fleets. With a strong reputation for operational discipline, safety, and technical excellence, this organisation supports vessel owners worldwide through robust shore-based management and a highly experienced technical structure. As part of continued operational demand, they are now seeking to appoint a Tanker Technical Superintendent to join their team in Cyprus.
The Technical Superintendent will assume full responsibility for the technical performance, compliance, and budgetary control of assigned tanker vessels, acting as the primary shore-based point of contact for Masters and Chief Engineers. The role requires close collaboration with operations, crewing, and commercial teams to ensure vessels are maintained and operated in full compliance with statutory regulations, class requirements, and company management systems. This position plays a key role in safeguarding asset integrity, optimising performance, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental protection across the fleet.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
- Previous sea-going experience as Chief Engineer on tanker vessels
- Technical Superintendent experience with tanker vessels strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of tanker operations, class, flag, and statutory compliance
- Proven ability to manage budgets, maintenance planning, and technical KPIs
- Confident communicator capable of supporting, mentoring, and guiding senior sea staff
- EU citizenship and willingness to be based in Cyprus
