Technical Manager

Consortio have partnered with an exciting startup company who are looking to expand their operations in Dubai. They are both a ship owner and operator and have a total fleet of seven MR and LR Tankers and have more vessels that will be coming into the organisation. Furthermore, they are comprised of forward-thinking individuals who are looking to build their company into the next big player within the shipping industry. In addition to this they have a core set of values that they will place at the forefront of their upcoming business venture.
 

Due to the nature of their start up, our client is on the lookout for a Technical Manager or experienced Senior Technical Superintendent to join their team in Dubai. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical department and act as the engineering point of contact for their fleet of 7 vessels. As the company grows, you will then be expected to lead and will be responsible for managing the entire fleet and any Technical Superintendents that come into the company. Furthermore, you will expect to attend vessels worldwide to supervise operations and monitor vessel condition and ships staff compliance with management policies and international regulations.
 

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
 

• Have 2 – 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity role.
   
•  Have a Chief Engineers license and sailing experience on Tankers.
   
•  Be fluent in English – both written and verbal.
