The Technical Fleet Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of the technical department covering the Tanker department. This role involves ensuring that all technical activities are meticulously planned, organized, and executed with safeguards against identified risks. The Technical Fleet Manager will implement and monitor the company’s management system, contribute to the development and enhancement of procedures, and promote a culture of continual improvement. Additionally, this role focuses on fostering a strong safety culture, environmental and energy awareness, and ensuring that vessels are managed safely, efficiently, and economically. Collaboration with fellow Technical Fleet Managers and supporting their roles during absences is also a key responsibility.
Qualifications Needed:
- Minimum of five years with the company as a Technical Superintendent or in a Technical Manager position.
- Recent experience managing Tankers.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Excellent leadership, controlling, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- In-depth knowledge of the marine industry and applicable rules and regulations.
- Strong technical knowledge related to ships within the fleet.
