Our client is an international provider of maritime training facilities. A variety of courses are offered and provided by experienced maritime professionals. They push the boundaries of technological advancement to achieve high quality outcomes. Despite a difficult time for this industry, they are well placed with plans to expand rapidly.
 

As a result of recent expansion, they are on the lookout for a Technical Operator. In this role you will be responsible for operating simulators used by engineers during exercises and coordinate with instructors throughout the whole simulation. Furthermore, you will ensure that the simulator role is kept tidy and set up for all instructors prior to the simulation starting. In addition to this you will help deliver theoretical and practical briefings in the lecture room and simulator. Finally, you will assist with new simulator related courses and testing.
 

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
 

  • Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
     
  • Sailing experience as a third engineer or above on Cruise Vessels.
     
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
     
  • Fluency in English – both written and verbal.
