As part of this collaboration, an opportunity has arisen for a Technical Superintendent to join the company’s Technical Department in Limassol. The position plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of vessels, while maintaining full compliance with international maritime regulations and internal management systems. The Technical Superintendent will oversee ship performance, maintenance, and repair activities, provide technical and operational guidance, and foster a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement across assigned vessels and their crews.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
- A marine degree from a recognised university with at least three (3) years of experience onboard vessels or within the shipping industry; or a Chief Engineer’s license with a minimum of two (2) years of sea service as Chief Engineer; or at least two (2) years of experience as a Technical Superintendent within a reputable shipping company, ideally with large bulk carrier (capesize) exposure.
- Proven leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Sound knowledge of the marine industry, including relevant Rules and Regulations.
- Solid technical understanding of vessel systems and operations.
- Experience in purchasing, budget cost control, and dry-docking management.
- A proactive, “can-do” attitude, willingness to challenge established practices constructively, and commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
