This collaboration brings together Consortio’s talent expertise and the ship management company’s reputation for technical excellence, innovation, and integrity. Together, we are committed to sourcing maritime professionals who embody the highest standards of safety, compliance, and leadership—individuals who can make a measurable impact on the quality and performance of fleet operations worldwide.
We are seeking an experienced Vetting Manager to lead the Vetting Team, ensuring that all vessels under management consistently uphold the strictest standards of compliance and performance. This position is pivotal to maintaining operational excellence, supporting continual improvement, and strengthening the company’s standing with key stakeholders, including oil majors, charterers, and regulatory authorities. The Vetting Manager will play a strategic role in safeguarding the company’s reputation while driving consistent adherence to international standards and internal policies across the managed fleet.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant shore-based experience within the maritime industry, ideally supported by previous sea-going service as a Master or senior officer on tankers or gas carriers.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of international maritime regulations, coupled with proven experience in vetting systems and industry standards such as OCIMF SIRE, CDI SIR, and RightShip RISQ.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and organise a team effectively, manage multiple vetting processes, and maintain communication across departments and external stakeholders.
- Analytical & Technical Skills: Proficient in monitoring and analysing vetting inspection performance, identifying trends, and implementing continuous improvement actions in line with best practices.
- Communication & Professionalism: Excellent command of the English language—both written and verbal—with the capability to engage confidently with internal management, clients, and third-party organisations.
This role is integral to the continued success and reputation of the fleet, offering the opportunity to work within a forward-thinking, safety-driven organisation where your expertise will directly shape quality standards across global operations.
