A Vessel Superintendent position is currently available within this dynamic team. In this role, the candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating various departments, planning and budgeting, and organizing planned maintenance activities. Managing a fleet of 6 Dry Cargo vessels, the successful applicant will oversee the daily support and follow-up of maintenance and repair operations to uphold technical standards and optimize vessel performance. Additionally, they will liaise with Classification authorities to arrange statutory surveys and ensure compliance with Class standards. Responsibilities will also include the preparation and maintenance of yearly budgets for assigned vessels and overseeing repair/maintenance projects in an efficient, safe, and environmentally conscious manner.
Qualifications:
- Sailing experience preferred, ideally with a background as a Chief Engineer
- Right to work in the EU, preferably residing in the Netherlands
- Experience with DP2 offshore/container/dry cargo/semisubmersible vessels
- Previous experience as a Technical Superintendent
- Proficient in English; Dutch language skills are advantageous
- Demonstrated high standards for work quality
- Independent, analytical, flexible, and willing to travel
- Strong team player
