Consortio are proud to be working with a globally recognized ship management company in their search for an exceptional Technical Superintendent. Based in Cyprus, this position is pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of a cruise ship while maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction and regulatory compliance. As the Technical Superintendent, you will oversee a wide array of responsibilities, including coordinating daily operations, optimizing onboard services, and liaising with key stakeholders to deliver an unparalleled cruise experience. This role also involves direct collaboration with technical and engineering teams to uphold the vessels' performance and reliability.
Your focus will include maintaining smooth embarkation and disembarkation processes, managing itineraries, ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations, and driving initiatives to enhance safety and environmental protection standards. You will play a critical role in recruiting, training, and managing crew across various departments and ensuring their performance aligns with industry-leading standards. Additionally, this position involves financial oversight, such as budget management, cost control, and revenue optimization, ensuring both operational excellence and profitability.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Strong English-speaking and writing skills.
- Sailed as a Chief Engineer or 1st Engineer on cruise ships for a minimum of 2 years (actual sea time).
- Shore-based experience in a similar position for a minimum of 2 years.
